	Welcome to the City of Cranston Fire Department
	I want to thank you for visiting the Cranston Fire Department web site. The City of Cranston is a modern community of eighty thousand residents. The Fire Department continues to progress and change to meet the needs of the community. Whether it be in Firefighting, EMS, Haz-Mat, Communications or Technical Rescue, our firefighters have striven to meet these new demands. I am proud that we have grown into an All Hazards Department while also maintaining the traditions associated with the fire service. Our personnel also stay involved with the daily life of the city by teaching CPR, visiting schools, sponsoring open houses and Halloween parties. Our Union sponsors several athletic teams for children and scholarship awards for continuing education. These activities help us to stay good neighbors as we carry out our primary mission of protecting the city. It is with great pride that I lead the men and women of the Cranston Fire Department.
